I really loved this book. I read the entire series and really enjoyed each book. Please give us more from Alaska. There isn't enough out there so when a book comes along, I grab it. I love reading stories about Alaska because it's something different and interesting. More Please!!

What's a Dom to do?

In the past l never would have read an installment of a series without reading the entire series. Man oh man! I missed out on so many good stories. No more! I had noticed the MARKED series because I've really enjoyed many of Jana Downs books. The Hurt/Comfort subgenre has always been a favorite of mine. It's always fun to see how various authors handle this topic. It's an extra treat when the story has bdsm undertones.

How will the Dom reconcile his need to---spank, flog, punish, restrain, dominant, demand submission, sound, pierce, or tattoo when his new Sub has been traumatized/abused/tortured mentally, physically, and/or emotionally? This is made even more dicey when the men involved are shifters. Hope is a Wolf shifter and a veterinarian. And like most of the Pack members in their town he is part of the bdsm scene. Since I didn't read any of the other five I'm not quite sure why. Otherwise l felt able to follow the story garnering enough facts as I went along.

The storyline was appealing, but once I read the sample I was hooked. The story opened with Hope buying a little fluffy Havenese puppy and the author had me. i had no choice but to purchase the book. The more the story unfolded, my enjoyment of it increased, as I was pulled into the fascinating world created by Ms Downs. As I got to know the various characters/mates it made me want to read a few of their stories. I especially was curious about the life of the man (Steve) residing in the Alpha's house.

Steve had been an abducted human who'd been violently turned and tortured. His rage, lack of control, and self hatred led to violence & suicide attempts. His continuous torment and refusal to accept the dictates of the Alpha led to an ultimatum. Shape up or be shipped out. Mix this big ball of messy confusion with the sudden very strong attraction to a certain Dominant vet shifter and boy oh boy expect the fur to fly! Especially since Steve vowed not to allow anyone to take control from him again. There would be no restraining, flogging, master, subservience, or any other such nonsensical treatment. What's a Dom to do when his mate has taken everything off the table?

If you are looking for a lot of bdsm --this is not the book for you. If you're okay with very mild bdsm this may be more to your liking.

Editor Needed Quickly

This author tried to weave together a good story. However, this edition is filled with errors in grammar, spelling, and overall sentence construction. The formatting on the Kindle bunched paragraphs together and at times it was difficult to follow the conversation scripts. I found myself frustrated that no one took the time to truly help this author produce a book with a tightly woven narrative that was readable.

A Beautiful Collection of Poetry

Queer Poems by Adriano Bulla is a rewarding collection of mixed and eclectic poetry that is as rich and diverse as the subject matter that it takes on and explores. One of my favorites, Dusty Grins is wonderful in its delivery and tone, giving you the sense that you’re taking this sidewalk stroll yourself. I liked Never Mind, a part of me feels I got it and could enjoy the beauty that it takes from its form and the path that it follows. The Drip of Copper was wonderfully insightful and a bit sad. Reflection Past is short yet, says quite a great deal. And Between the Drops is very moving. The author is outstanding and does a beautiful job in the delivery and expression that he presents in this moving reflection of an often marginalized and or silenced community of people.

Queer Poems written by Adriano Bulla is an emotional twist that relates to the world as an whole!

Mr. Bulla uses words within his writing that give the reader something to think about and maybe run towards the dictionary.
I enjoy the man who wrote these extra-ordinary pieces of poetry. He is defending, speaking out, and or bringing awareness to
those who feels or been left out of society because of sexual preference, race or homelessness.

All the pieces touched my heart and I will have to read this book more than once. However, Born in Between had meaning and was talking to me: "By tongues and claws of ignorant sandpaper."

The "Queer Poems" can also bring solace to ones soul, give the reader a thing or two to think about and finally have you search within your heart and have you think and react differently towards another human that is different from you.

Thank you Mr. Bulla for sharing your inner thoughts thru your poems and writing. Much thanks!

Allende openly suspected Jessup of involvement in the experiment, leading to interesting interchanges, moves, and countermoves.

In these pages, Barker analyzes such correspondences, and deftly navigates the sticky terrain of Jessup's mysterious rise and fall, while raising doubts about the official story. Did Jessup really kill himself, or was it "self-murder"? Or, did Jessup kill his attacker and steal his identity? And was that attacker the real Carlos Allende?

This special 2014 edition features a fascinating introduction by the late, eminent ufologist Eugenia Macer-Story as well as the original introductions to the 1963, 1967, and 1973 editions. Also included are new and intriguing contributions from researchers George Knapp, David Paulides, David J. Halperin, Jeffery Pritichett, Anthony Bragalia, Robert Goerman, Anna Genzlinger, and John A. A MUST READ for anyone interested in early ufology and The Philadelphia Experiment.

What an amazing introduction to the sad death of one of the early pioneers of ufology. This book in no way claims to answer what exactly was the cause of Dr. Jessup's death. It touches upon The Philadelphia Experiment, Carlos Allende, and UFO'S and the moon (which today is only beginning to be researched in full). This book was an introduction for me in regards to Dr. Jessup and all the great books he wrote. All of which I have since tracked down, read and been amazed by. It further spurred me on to investigate his death and The Philadelphia Experiment. I had heard of The Philadelphia Experiment before reading this book, but never truly investigated the matter beyond watching the movie. Dr. Jessup through his research into UFOs had many ideas that would later be popularized by others such as Erich von Daniken. This book along with The Jessup Dimension by Anna Genzlinger, Hoax by P.J. Dowers (if you can find it) and The Philadelphia Experiment by Charles Berlitz are all great readings in regards to Dr. M. K. Jessup. This IS an amazing and interesting but sad event. Was Dr. Jessup murdered or did he commit suicide? We may never know the truth, but I am thankful for Dr. Jessup's writings and the world he opened for me. Many of his ideas are only today being proven. The copy I speak of is an earlier edition. This newer edition is even better because it contains supplemental information not available before.

"Most people who knew Dr. Jessup refused to believe that he had committed suicide, a most natural reaction in that the professor had, in his contacts with them, given no indications of depression or of having troubles": so declares Gray Barker in the introduction to his third book.

Two short articles by Jessup are included: UFOs and the Moon (later expanded in his book The Expanding Case for the UFO) and Motive Power of the UFO. A small amount of correspondence to Barker and Meade Layne of the BSRF is included, in which Jessup reveals his interest in the reported mediumship of Mark Probert and his reported spirit contacts.

Barker is indebted to Riley Crabb from the Borderland Sciences Research Foundation for the preface to the Annotated Edition of Jessup's The Case for the UFO, which is reprinted in this book. Barker states that the Navy gave one of 25 copies of the Varo edition to Jessup and Jessup gave his copy to Crabb. The Allende letters are also included. Barker states that Carlos Allende had been living with an elderly couple in a farmhouse. Someone had gone to visit Allende there, but the place had been stripped of all furniture and was deserted. Barker: "If the Allende Letters had been authentic in that they contained solid information, it seems that those who 'knew too much' were soon disposed of. Did Jessup also 'know too much'???????????"

It is a short book and unfortunately there is nothing on the opinions of those who knew Jessup. Barker states that Ivan Sanderson remained tight-lipped on the matter. Instead, space is taken up with reports of a seance to contact the spirit of Jessup. Barker later published a more interesting follow-up, The Jessup Dimension.

A good analysis of the contradictions surrounding the death of Dr. Jessup. I doubt we will ever know the truth, but this book provides both sides of the controversy; whether it was suicide or foul play. The book also gets into other aspects of the Jessup legacy such as UFO's and the Philadelphia experiment. An interesting read but not the final analysis.

A well written and informative Low-Carb book

This book has turned into a great resource for me! I tried going completely carb free and could not maintain it. So this book has helped a lot as I now eat my carbs at breakfast, which prevents me from being ravenous by 11AM. The rest of my day is carb free which I am able to follow.

I love the color coded meal plans, they are so easy to understand. The author also provides a whole page of "free foods" that help prevent that overwhelming hunger.

Also included are wonderful recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For those non diabetics there is also a dessert section.

Well Presented with Great Diet Information and Recipes

The new Low-Carb Diet Cookbook is a well presented, easy to follow and use cookbook to help with those who are doing low-carb diets. Although the book presents a low carb plan by color coding food types, that system was oddly not used for the actual recipes themselves. As well, although there is a wide variety of dishes, quite a few were exotic, required extensive preparation, or harder to find/not in your pantry ingredients.

The book is broken down as follows: the diet, breakfast recipes, lunch recipes, dinner recipes, desserts, and ingredient index. About 40 pages in the beginning discuss the benefits and information about a low carb diet. I was pleased to see that a lot of the latest findings/research was in there, debunking a lot of diet myths. The recipes follow and are broken down by food type (e.g., grains for breakfast or seafood for lunch).

The recipes are cleanly presented and, though too many are lacking images, easy to follow with clear directions and ingredients (though I wish the ingredients had bullet points to make it easier to read them). Admittedly, for me personally, I felt the recipes were a bit too 'haute cuisine' rather than re imagining of the comfort food that did most of us in, weight wise. If I had cuisine tastes, I probably wouldn't have a weight problem.

To improve the book and make it easier to use, I would have liked to see more labels on the recipes. E.g., a color coded system for recipes that are quick on prep time vs longer cooking (or even ordering the recipes by prep time), a different system for recipes that require specific/rarer ingredient shopping trips beforehand as opposed to those with stock ingredients in most pantries, and many more pictures. Only a few recipes have pictures and so we have to read recipe ideas rather than being able to quickly scan through pictures to choose the one we want for that meal.

In all, although the recipes didn't appeal to my tastes, this is a well presented book with good diet information.

I love this book! As a low-carb newbie, this is a lifesaver!

My husband and I are new to the low-carb movement, mostly to cut back on processed foods and sugar. This book has been such a great resource for me! My favorite rule is "NO CARBS AFTER BREAKFAST" because to me, breakfast without carbs is just plain awful. After about 3 days, I couldn't eat another egg! This plan is so much more sustainable!

The color coded meal plan is easy to understand, and with a whole page of "free foods" I know I won't get hungry. Best of all, this book includes fabulous recipes for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and DESSERTS! That means I can make a healthy treat for us without feeling like I'm blowing it.

The "Rich Chicken & Almond Tagine" recipe is delicious. Another favorite is the "Apple Almond Crumble." Real comfort food! Thank you Ms. Lamont! For more see my blog at www.abeautifullittlelife.com.
