Kendira Bonher is sexy, talented, curvy and sassy. She is the perfect catch, any man would want her. Unfortunately that is the problem a certain man in particular wants her, Joe but she doesn’t want him. Fearing for her life Kendria packs up her belongings and sets to escape. Except she doesn’t get very far. She finds herself in a little town called Cottonwood Falls. How backwoods does this town sound? Getting help from resident biker girl Sarah, Kendria finds herself staring at a real live Adonis by the name of Vance. Despite her injuries and desperate situation Vance ignites something in Kendira and its name is pure LUST.

Vance owns his own repair shop. I guess you can say he is a knight in shining armor in this case a pickup truck. He senses that Kendria is hiding something. No stranger to secrets his self he steps in and tries to help her by pretending they are together.
Sometimes make believe turns into reality. After a few touches and heated looks Kendira and Vance develop a very hot and heavy relationship. The sex scenes are off the charts and enough to whet the appetite. Despite trying to keep her past private it all catches up to her. Until she has no choice but to confront her demons.

Because this is a very short read a lot of the relationship is told to the reader and we don’t get to see the development. There were few inconsistences in the story like Kendira’s past. She is presented as down and out with little to nothing but mid-way through we find out differently. I don’t know if this was to add a little suspense to the story or not. The Joe scenario and how it ended could have been a bit more fleshed out. But like I mentioned earlier this is a very short straightforward read. If you are looking for a short, quick, erotic read with a hint of action this is the story for you. Judge this book for yourself and not based on one review.

I so enjoyed this story! The instant attraction between Vance and Kendria was explosive. I loved how neither one of them backed away from the intensity of their attraction.

When Kendria stood up to Joe I w www story cheering her on and applauded when she put him and Johanna in their places.

I recommend this series to anyone and everyone that loves a well written story.

Having many years between my BS and now entering my Masters program this book gives you step by step instructions on how to retrain your brain to be a better writer. It reminded me, and gave practical examples, of how to think and write critically (a skill I had obviously not been using enough). Great, easy to understand, very practical book. Should be mandatory reading for all middle school students and every year after as a reminder.

I'm really into hair care so the book didn't teach me anything new. I hoped it would. I do like the exercise regimen in the back of the book. It was the best part. I hope they do a new book with just exercise routines. That would be awesome.

Not stand-alones. This series leaves questions that might be solved in the next, or several books down the road.
Believable characters and dialogue. Easy to follow.

"Sure, awfulize wasn’t really a word, but it seemed an apt way to describe the way someone’s mind could make something more awful than it actually was."

I doubt I will re-read this book. I may be interested in reading the series if it is bundled in one ebook.

I read The Lake House Secret and it was so good that I had to read The Stone House Secret. I'm not usually into books with romance, but Debra Burroughs presents the romance so balanced without mushy sex scenes, that I quite enjoy it. The relationships are also quite real for society today.
I really love the characters and grew close to them.
The Stone House Secret is a book that kept me hooked from the beginning. Debra balances the story so well that it keeps you reading until the end, not wanting to put it down with suspense, twists, turns, and surprises.
I think that Jennessa aught to work for the police department.
I love the fact that I can read a good book without cussing, gruesome scenes, and sex. It's a clean yet very good book and very enjoyable.
I would recommend this book to everyone who likes mystery, romance, and suspense.

I Could Not Finiish This Book!!!

I could not finish this book and even deleted it from my kindle! Jenessa Jones got on my last nerve with her constantly trying to get a story for her newspaper and her constant flipping back and forth on which man of 2 she loved. Her character is way too immature for my taste.
I hate giving a negative review but had to in this case.

I like the story but wish one final proof could be ...

I like the story but wish one final proof could be done to it. Initially, the mistakes prevented me from actually getting lost into the essence of the story. The main character is delightful and the issues that are touched upon within the realms of gay/straight relationships - friendship and role models was the main reason why I continued to read the book. To other readers I would suggest that you ignore the mistakes and concentrate on the story because it is a worthwhile read.

Finally Found What I Was Looking For!

As a college graduate who is currently homeschooling our three children, I have been searching for a writing curriculum that would help our high school freshman transition into college-level writing. I am happy to say that I have found just that! Carter has not skipped a beat - she has truly gone above and beyond my expectations. She starts at the beginning and goes through every type of writing you can think of giving your student (or yourself) the ability to approach and accomplish any type of writing style with ease. I am confident that by the end of this semester, our daughter will already be at the collegiate level of writing. This curriculum is easy for the parent to teach and engaging for the student. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is trying to get to the collegiate level of writing with a solid foundation.

Waste of Money Don't Buy Ever

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I received a bent up brochure about Australia. The pictures are tiny and without color. There is nothing jaw-dropping about this book. Clarification: this is not a book. It's garbage.

Jaw dropping moments...

What can I say..she did it again. There were some moments that my mouth was left hanging wide open. Never saw it coming and could feel the emotions from the people it was happening to. Knew there would be action and suspense and some good old romance in the mix. She never disappoints. For sure a nice cliffhanger to keep us wanting more. I own all of both series and can't wait for the next book in this one and the new spin off coming as well. So happy to have found this author.

Another great read

Unauthorized Deception picks up right where Unauthorized Affair left off. So if you haven't read book 1 please put this aside until you do. Trust me, it's worth reading! This book features Ivy and Ryker and introduces new character who I am sure will soon be featured in future books. This book had it all; lots of great action, some unexpected surprises and just a touch of romance and one very big cliffhanger! I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Couldn't put it down till I finished it all. Every book that Lisa writes is awesome. You can connect with the characters and you feel like you're right there with them going through their lives. I'm very glad that Ivy and Ryker are happy!!
