Hunter Murphy is a writer from Alabama. Some of his literary heroes include P.G. Wodehouse, Eudora Welty, Christopher Morley, Eugene Walter, and Agatha Christie. He's a fan of good storytelling, no matter the medium. He likes to sit on the back porch and listen to his English bulldog discussing literature and telling jokes.

MUST READ!!!!!

I Love this book!! It's fun and adventuresome yet deep and thoughtful. I identified with the characters immediately. By the end of the book I felt I really knew them all and hated to leave their world. Hunter Murphy really did a fabulous job of adding a lot of depth to each and every character. There were a lot of characters and they were all very colorful and complete. I don't know how he did it but he left no character underdeveloped. He pulled it all together in the end and did not leave you wondering about anything. He brought along vivid images of the French Quarter and introduced me to a part of New Orleans I would never have known otherwise. His descriptive abilities make you feel that you are right there in the middle of all the happenings. I could not figure out "Who did it" and I'm usually quite good at that. I cannot wait to read the next book and see what Imogene gets the boys and Goose into!!! I wish there were 10 stars to rate this book!!!!

I loved all the rich characters

Wow!! I have just finished Hunter Murphy's book 'Imogene in New Orleans'. What a fabulous read and what a talented new writer. It's hard to believe that this is his first book...but it is. I loved all the rich characters. I will NOT forget them easily. Imogene and her Billy are both hilarious and so sweet that I wish they were real and I could visit them. I really hope that Hunter follows up with these characters in another book and another...Jackson, Rogers and Billy had me roaring with laughter with their antics. It's a 'can't put it down' book and I think there should be a ten star rating for it. I simply was awed by it's complexity and yet it was so readable. Hunter Murphy is on his way UP to the top.

This is a very good book is a lot of action a lot of characters well-rounded characters they all have a safe they're all important I really enjoyed it I like the dog especially because I like dogs and and the old lady because I'm an old lady thank you for a very good read
