Don't Waste Your Money

Ridiculous. Lots of unscientific, random, and occasionally ungrammatical blather about the generalities of "Mediterranean diet." A minimal 7-day diet outline and very few actual recipes-none of which seem tested or provide the detail that most serious cooks would need. Seems like a lot of money for a barely 100 p. booklet. It also appears that the author (whose qualifications amount to little more than being an "enthusiast," wife, and mother) has quite a little racket going with 7 other books of this ilk listed as "available on Amazon." I couldn't help but notice that many of the 5 star reviews noted that they hadn't read it, but could hardly wait to do so.

This was a very disappointing book. I was expecting a basic introduction to the Mediterranean diet with a few good recipes. The book is short, but rambling and disorganized and does not clearly and simply lay out the central ideas of the diet in a useful way that would allow a beginner to adapt the program to daily life. Recipes are unremarkable and no mention is made of how they fit with the Mediterranean diet program. Meal plans are repetitive and not very creative.
And unfortunately, the book is very poorly written. The grammar is often incorrect and the sentences are garbled.
The book has the look of something that was self published. Sort of cheaply put together and generally disappointing. Certainly not a book that would be useful in the kitchen over any period of time.

I LOVE this Mediterranean diet!!

As a fruit and cheese lover I am in love with this Mediterranean diet! This book has a great 7 day meal plan that is easy to follow and features some great meals. The author has provided a breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner meal plan to help you lose weight while improving your health. The author also provides a list of substitute ingredients, which I loved and found very beneficial.
This book really does give you all the necessary information you needed to understand how to successfully apply the Mediterranean diet to your life. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the Mediterranean diet and looking to try out some great tasting recipes.
