This book was awesome.....

I loved the way Kevin still had his innocence through all th experiences an advantages he had. The sang terms made me laugh. I do wish there were more to this book. I COULD easily see it bein twice a long… Crossing my fingers that the next story is for Emery.

I wanted to give it 5 stars but the editing done for the ending was awful. It states that they had been together for 3 years and have two kids.... kids don't go to school till 4 an the kids are not even 2-1/2… It says Kevin only does two model shoots a year an only during summer when kids are out of school.... which means the kids are older..... Should have said 10 years so that the numbers worked out.... picky I know but come on..... :)

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how Kevin used funny names to describe things of a sexual nature. The characters really fit well together. I wished the book was longer. All in all a really fantastic read

A Professional Opinion of The Ocean Book

I am a retired high school biology, chemistry, math, and physics teacher. I served as chairman of the text book selection committee for our school district and found it distressing that we could not find a text that did not claim evolution to be a "proven fact." It is very difficult to find quality texts that will present alternative models of origin. Darwinian evolution has never been proven and never observed. It was a one-time event that occurred in the unobserved past. Yes, the same can be said for Biblical creation and "Intelligent Design." They are all worldviews.

The Ocean Book is very well written and beautifully illustrated. It gives a cogent alternative to Darwin's strange opinions. I highly recommend it to everyone who wishes an alternative to secular philosophy and would like to know more about the "fearfully and wonderfully made" planet on which we live.

I used this book as a reference when teaching my children about the oceans. We enjoyed all the colorful pictures and the information was very useful. I have enjoyed all of Master Books Wonders of Creation series. Their books always point to God the Creator of all things. It is wonderful to read about God's creation from a creationist perspective.

The Ocean Book is Great!

This is an excellent and well-illustrated book on important aspects of the ocean. It includes research findings, physical characteristics and composition of ocean waters. Tides, waves, currents, and weather are discussed. Fishing and marine life are described. The book concludes with a description of the worldwide Genesis flood. My granddaughter who aspires to become a marine biologist really loved the book. I recommend it to all!

This the updated version of the Stuart's popular " Field Guide to Mammals of Southern Africa."
In now includes Angola, Zambia and Malawi.
The book is significantly larger-- I by just over 150 pages.
I have both the older Kindle edition and this newer one

The animal descriptions are excellent
Basic details
It starts with a brief summary in a green shaded box.
It gives the animal's common name and zoolological name.
Next length,height at shoulder,weight of male/female. If the animal has horns, details are given.. ( photos often show the horns, and there may be a shot of a young male ( no horns) and a mature male.)
Main pointers to identification are carefully summarised.
( later on the animal's footprint is given and their height off the ground compared to a shadow adult man )
There is a distribution map of the animals current range, a number of maps note the historic range in a different colour.

Horns
These are usually shown in the photos.
However some entries also get line diagrams of horns at various ages. Examples include
Black Wildebeest horns at 6, 12,24, 36 and 48 months.
The Greater Kudu, whose horns have a beautiful spiral are possibly the most beautiful. In the mature bull there is a "double "spiral These changes are shown from 9 months to that of a mature Bull in its prime in some 6 stages that take well over30 months plus
Horn structure that change with time are shown for some other antelope. I found these diagrams interesting.

Photos
The photos are excellent.Where a number of books have one , there are often several.
Where there is a difference between male and female this is often shown.
Shots of mother's with young are fairly frequent.. Some antelope hide their young for a period after their birth. In the section on Puku , there is a good photo of a Puku lamb curled up hidden in longish grass.
Important points of identification are captured in the shots, in some cases to make sure you got the point, a clear detail shot or inset is included-- the black stripe on the Impala's buttock area., or the black blaze on the face of the Black faced Impala.-- I could pick more difficult examples , but this is just to make a point about their attention to detail and keenness for you to grasp the details better. ( I am currently struggling to get clear in my mind various antelope,bucks and bocks etc and I have found both their descriptions and pictures very helpful.)
The photos are of a good size. They upscale well on the IPad
Descriptions
The descriptions give details on animal identification,distribution, habitat, behaviour, food, social features, reproduction, longevity etc.
These descriptions are fairly full and certainly informative.

Summary.
There is a very useful A--Z common animal name linked access at the front of the book.
If you want Zebra, push Zebra.
If you want Hyraxes push Hyraxes and so on.
The Stuart's have continued to improve their excellent guide.
It now includes Angola, Zambia and Malawi. New species from these areas are included in the book.-- sorry I am still tracking them down.
What makes the book for me-- the plentiful and excellent photos often showing male / female shots and some female shots may have the female with their offspring. Helpful shot of points of identification are often included.
Almost as good is their text which covers many matters you want to know about as you get to know the animals better.
All in all , this is an excellent book .
It works well on my IPad Kindle Reader.

I don't know why this was written.

I kind of think the author needs therapy. I was glued to the pages and was shocked by some of the content. I know now that I didn't know everything about BDMS. I was blown away with the ending because it was nothing like I expected. Thomas it was like reading a suspense novel, you never would of guessed at what comes next.

OMG! Another 5 star must read by this new, up & coming talented Indie author in contemporary, paranormal, romantic suspense fiction with elements of the supernatural!! ... This is the first episode in the "Fate of the Alpha" books! Each book Ms. Black writes is even better than the previous ones, and those were totally awesome 5 star must reads, tool! ... Such well developed characters with interesting attention to details and unique storylines full of twists & turns, will keep any reader engaged, the pages turning and up late at night like me :) LOL ... Be prepared for a cliffhanger, as there are 2 more books coming up next in this fabulous 3 part story!! ... I was so lucky to be gifted this to read in exchange for an honest review, and I honestly love everything I've read by this amazing author! ... So make sure to add this to your must read list, wish list or TBR list and/or pre-order now so you can be among the first to grab this awesomeness :) This stands alone, but I suggest reading the first bundle, "The Curse of The Alpha" :)

Still lovin' Ainsley and Erik...

First off, let me say I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. If you read my other reviews, you'll see I don't hold back. That being said, here's my review, I loved this new series!!!! It's like same characters, next season. It did end on a cliffhanger, however, the next episode is supposed to be out in January. I might just barely be able to wait. I don't want to say anything about the storyline, because I don't want to give anything away. I will say it helps to read the prior book series so you know what's going on since this one picks up right after the last book.

Arooooo! Tasha Black you are the BEST! This is the next book in the series Tarker’s Hollow BBW Shifter Romance. Part One of Fate of the Alpha. Unlike most serial installments Ms. Black has given us twenty-two chapters. This installment establishes the characters from Curse of the Alpha: Ainsley Connor, Grace Kwan-Cortez, Erik Jensen, Julian Magie and Charley Coslaw. New Characters: Landon Shepard, Garrett Sanderson and Olivia Winter. There are lurkers in the college wood: stray wolves trying to take over as Alpha, Clive Warren, former Sheriff and someone else looking to do damage.
Ainsley has so much to learn. Starting with how to be a wolf! She now has to learn magic and bring it to the wolves. The Magic Book that was found in Curse of the Alpha only has spells to hurt wolves and Ainsley must learn to protect her Pack. Ainsley must find the missing link to this magic. What is it she is missing? The Council has sent Olivia Winter to evaluate Ainsley as a satisfactory Alpha. Olivia is a formidable woman who has eyes for Erik. There are mysterious things going on in Tarker’s Hollow. What is Grace Kwan-Cortez doing with not one, but two men? Julian? I am not sure whose side he is on. He works with Prof. Garrett Sanderson but who are these people? Really!
These are all valid questions for the answers you will have to read Fate of the Alpha, Part One. Believe me it will be worth your time. Ms. Black has created a world unique in paranormal romance. Did I mention that there are scenes that are HOT? You want these characters to be real, want them to be your friends. Thank you, Tasha for an incredible series. Another 5 Star read!
