Great book for a child and family dealing with epilepsy

What a wonderful idea to publish books for kids with chronic medical conditions! And Gina Hagler's book about epilepsy is up to the task. Drawing on personal experiences, she lets us follow the fictional Sammi as she adjusts to a disease where seizures can happen at any time. We see the family's concerns and worries, feel Sammi's fear of losing friends, and learn about epilepsy along with her. Sammi's story also shows that a "new normal" can bring new ways to have fun. A must read for any child or family faced with epilepsy.

Good quick read but I wish there was more

It's not the best thing I ever read but it was very erotic. I think that was the point of the story was to get to the director and the student having sex and it does a good job at that. I kind of wanted more of a build up and more from the relationship. But as a short story that is suppose to make the reader turned on it does it job so I can't fault it.

A Touch of Frost is a sexy, short Christmas story and one I very much enjoyed reading. I loved the interaction and banter between all of the characters and look forward to reading what comes next.

Jack Frost has returned home after his divorce determined to put the past behind him and change his way. Jack has spent so much time angry and bitter he just wants to be a better man and friend.

Elle Roland is in charge of Christmas in the centre Jack owns and she is set on making Christmas special for all the children who visit.

When Jack meets Elle there is something magical that passes between them except Elle is not going to be Jack’s rebound girl. But when Jack asks her to dinner what Elle will soon realise is that it might just be her forever after she is giving up if she doesn’t take the chance.

Quick, hot read

You have a Christmas-phobic Hot Hero and a Christmas-loving heroine, so you know - YOU KNOW - that they will wind up rocking the headboard, right?

Fortunately, it doesn't take long to get them in the sack.

This is a slight, cute romance novella that, thankfully, includes some hot headboard rocking. Yes, the hero's name - Jack Frost - might be a bit much, as is the heroine's (Angelle, aka Elle). But when Jack predicts that ten condoms is not enough for the two of them over the course of a weekend (he's right, by the way), how can you not love him?

The love scenes are what make this book, even if they aren't as detailed as I like. Then again, I'm a big fat perv, so perhaps it doesn't speak highly of me that I want MORE.

Even though there isn't much to this tale, aside from what happens in the bedroom, you do get to know the characters. Motorcycle-loving Elle and burned-by-love Jack are a couple to root for, and theirs is a fun romance to read about.

A Touch Of Frost (Frosty's Snowmen 1) is a fun and sexy look into the wonder of Christmas set in Santa’s Village, Sydney, Australia. Jack Frost, yes that’s his name, has gone through a devastating divorce, leaving everything and returning to Sydney and the family business just in time to open Santa’s Village for the Christmas season. He intends to forget his ex, dive into the family business and start anew with his focus on himself and the family business.

Elle is the arena manager and plays the Christmas Angel. She is happy to work with the children and open the village and love Christmastime. She however doesn’t have time for romance or arrogant handsome men after being hurt terribly by her last lover. The Magic of Christmas has ideas of its own and loves to put little bumps in the holiday road.

About the Author
Timothy Jon Reynolds formerly worked as a criminal investigator for the Dayton Hudson Corporation. In his tenure there, he literally oversaw hundreds of criminal cases of almost every nature. It was there that started writing in his mind, even if he didn't know it at the time. After leaving that career for a safer one, he began working as a manager in the biomedical industry, eventually moving on to owning his own company. Nowadays he travels the northwest as a Sales Manager for the company that bought his, taking in and absorbing the places and people he visits and meets. All as fuel for his stories. His feeling is that writers, "need fresh faces and stories around them constantly, otherwise they will stagnate and the writing will suffer." When he is not traveling, Tim enjoys being a Northern Nevada resident with his wife and children, complete with all the civil liberties that great state provides.

The Harbinger of Change is a great book. Intelligently written with plenty of action, drama, suspense, romance, intrigue and chess! The social awareness woven through the story, along with some great psychological twists, will keep the pages turning. I couldn’t wait to get to the end… and when I did I wasn’t disappointed. I can hardly wait to read more from Tim Reynolds. It’s as though Dean Koontz and Michael Creighton somehow spawned a new author and his name is Tim Reynolds. If you were to begin reading this book on an airplane trip, you may only be disappointed that you didn’t book a longer flight. Once you pick it up it’s hard to put down until the you’ve read every word. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended. Get this book!

Awesome debut novel! Great characterization, descriptive passages, intriguing dialogue and interwoven plots that keep you zigging and zagging from start to finish. Must read for thriller aficionados. Could it happen? Is it happening? Maybe too close for comfort? You decide. Congratulations to Reynolds on an amazing entrance into the genre. Will be looking for more from this writer.

Reread: An old friend, a thrill ride; relive the first read.

First read in the 70's this book kept our crew company during boring patrols. Rereading the series from the start has brought out details forgotten, I still cheer on the original "Man in Black". This series remains pure entertainment. The philosophy of our man Boland is better explored in "Wednesday's Wrath" and picks up the missing puzzle pieces that connects the fight against the mafia to the fight against terrorism, a very timely subject. I look forward to reacquainting myself with the whole series!

Important transitional novel in this series.

Unlike some of the more current novels in this series, a reader really should start with the older ones; ones from the beginning. Not to do so will cause a bit of confusion since the author constantly references events and individuals from previous novels. This is really not all that big a problem because as you read, you will eventually pick-up the gist of what is going on.

Now this one is not one of the best novels in this series and as a matter of fact is could be classified as a transition novel where we have the Big Warrior more or less finishing off his war with the mafia and we get glimpses of his new fight against drug lords and terrorists. At times the author seems to loose track and control of his plot and you have a lot of bouncing around and more “filler” than in most of the books in this series.

Basically this is a full military shootout with a mafia led army in the New Mexico desert near Holloman AFB and White Sands...the primary town is Alamogordo. This was of particular interest to me as I was stationed there for a few years back in the 1970s...the time period in which this story took place.

The action in this one is sharp but not as much as usual and we do not find the normal high body count.

All in all this is an entertaining read and those who are interested in this series should read it since it fills in a lot of gaps; information not well addressed in previous novels.

I really enjoyed this young woman's tale of love and adventure in Africa. The only downside was that she did not take the time to proofread the book before publication. It is full of awkward, incomplete sentences with missing words. This made it very hard to get through.

He's done it again!!!

In reading Borton's first novel, Abomination, I knew I was going to be a true Borton Fan. Not only has he done it again, but he's outdone himself. Suffer is absolutely amazing! I had it read from cover to cover in 3 days, as I dare to say it is better than Abomination. Suffer is a fast paced, edge of your seat, nail bititng read. I caught myself literally holding my breath throughout several parts of the book and at times cried as I completely empathized with the characters. Borton plays on your emotions and shocks you with a burst of adrenaline on every single page. Just read the first 2 chapters and you'll be hooked!! Borton is the M. Night Shyamalan of novels. Watch out Patterson and Koontz! You have some new competition!! -LIB

Very Appropriate Title

Excellent book. Excellent story telling. Suspense that keeps you reading, keeps you up at night, and keeps you reading even when you're supposed to be working! Even though I would place myself in the squeamish category, I would not recommend for the squeamish at heart. I liked this book so much that I'm now getting ready to read Without by this author.

This is one of the the first books I've read by this other. I was a little skeptical, after reading a few pages the author draws you into the story. I couldn't put it down, that's a rarity these days. I enjoy this book and it's author, that I've suggested it to several friends and co workers! Give it a try, you won't be sorry......

Vaya, me encanta que esta pareja haya tenido una segunda oportunidad, porque el libro anterior me dejó con el corazón oprimido... esta historia me encantó, con personajes reales e imperfectos, con temas difíciles pero abordados desde un punto de vista positivo y de superación. Hubo una parte casi al final, en la que Gabriel da las gracias a un personaje que ya no está... y para mí fue algo muy emotivo, hermoso e inesperado. Hay lecturas que disfruto mucho, realmente amo leer, pero aquellas que logran llegar a ti y disparar emociones como lo que sentí al leer ese pasaje, son tesoros invalorables.

Xaviera, tardé más de un año para escribir esta reseña, pensando que ya lo había hecho. Mejor tarde que nunca.

Rock N’ Leather by author H.C. Brown is the second in the Club Depravity series. This one I have very mixed feelings on. It starts out great. But in the middle becomes muddled and I felt lost its momentum. Wish the author had stuck to just one love story in this book, but there is actually like 3 going on. And none of them actually finish. The story of Aiden, Logan, and Connor never gets finished in this book. It is just left hanging.
Aiden is a sub, now he wants two doms. He just had a dom leave him. He liked his old dom but was not in love with him. But still I felt if he was in a relationship with anyone for as long as this one, the guy leaves with no good bye, wouldn’t there be feelings there? Not just ohh two cute guys want me I am gonna go for it the same day he gets dumped? That totally made me think Aiden was shallow.

Logan is a dom already in a relationship with another dom, Connor. Connor is dominate but he also bottoms so he is more of a switch. Well they want Aiden and pursue him. They manage to get him to do a scene, then they do a few things that make them seem really mean, and then their story ends abruptly.
Then you get the story of Reef and his Joel. Reef is the dominate Joel is new to the game and never had a scene but Reef is willing to do what it takes to teach him.
Nothing is resolved in this book. More like starts of books placed together. I love a great bdsm story with MM but this one was confusing.

Not usually my cup of tea...

I have never been an avid reader of thrillers but Laws of Depravity is a book I could not put down. I LOVED IT! It has a nail-biting plot and characters that I can't help but want to know more about. I gasped, I cried, I laughed. The only thing wrong with this book is that book #2 is not immediately available.

Never before has a book so held my attention from start to finish.I couldn't get enough.The characters were so real they made me actually feel like I was living this story! I highly recommend!

Great book! Luv'd every second of it!! This author is easy to read and keeps you engaged the entire book...would highly recommend to anyone that likes thriller books with great sub story lines woven into the main story...you cant help but get pulled into the characters, they jump off the page. Amazing read!!

Totally Unexpected conclusion and a MUST READ... but you've got to read the first book in the series first!

I was really brutally honest about Lisa's last book On 4/19, which is obviously the first book in this series. I gave her three stars.... not for quality of writing but for a perfect heroine and hero who had a fairy tale meeting and courtship. I hate perfect situations with perfect people. :) Just not interesting to me. Lisa's first book--Unmending the Veil--is so A-MA-ZING that I found On 4/19 to be a let down. I loved how her first book was completely not what you would have expected and yet so well written and engaging. It was filled with deep spiritual truths that were compelling and inspiring. 4/19 was not that. I let readers know in my review. :)
However, this book Beyond 4/20 was COMPLETELY unexpected and seriously... I LOVED IT!!! Total return to what I loved about her writing--unexpected and left me wondering how in the world she was going to develop this to be believable... but she did! Again, so many great spiritual truths and encouragement for me in my own life. Unfailing love, unconditional love, and redemption again all beautifully weaved to make an amazing book. (I've already read many parts of it twice!) In addition, she is really great at writing about romance and passion without going too far... but not leaving it out either! I love that. I cried lots of tears reading this book. I'm very impressed, and this was so worth the read! I must say... you really should read the first book if you want to appreciate this one for what it is! Even though I didn't rate the first book so well, I would definitely change that in light of the whole story. I'll give it a 4. :) Read them both, and you will not regret it!!

Easily One of the BEST Christian Romances Ever

Next to On 4\19, this is one the best I have ever read. Lisa has a gift\ministry of writing that pulls you into the lives of her characters. I have learned so much about life, love and my own journey through life with those I love and especially with my journey to know and love Jesus. Lisa's books make my heart sing at times with joy and break with a life changing sorrow at other times. An author that has the ability to cause such a range of emotions and at the same time causes me to reflect at my own personal relationships and especially my personal relationship with Jesus is a very gifted and talented author. I have read all three of Lisa's books now, and they have all been life changing in wonderful ways. I would recommend this book and all her books without any reservations whatsoever. Thank you Lisa for sharing your special gift with others. I hope and pray you write for many years to come. Your books have made me a much better person and have changed my relationships with my family, with myself and most importantly, Jesus. I am anxiously awaiting for your next book , Deceiver, to come out soon. Do yourself a a favor and get Lisa's books: On 4\19, Beyond 4\20 and Unmending The Veil. Your life will never be the same. Lisa, job well well done.

An Amazingly Redemptive Story!

This book is amazing! You don't want to miss what happens next in the continuing saga of John, Chelsea, and Tuck's story. It is wonderfully romantic, extremely adventurous, but more than anything, it is incredibly redemptive. This book teaches deep lessons about God's sovereignty, grace, and relentless love for US! I went into the book predicting what would happen, but the journey was anything but predictable.There are some awesome twists and turns in this beautiful story. This author has an amazing gift of conveying deep spiritual truths in her stories. Be warned and be prepared: It is a very emotionally-charged read. I laughed, I cried, I got angry. I searched my own heart because God speaks in this book. All of her books make me want to know and love God more... better. Read the first one--On 4/19, then without hesitation, please read the sequel, Beyond 4/20. Her other book, Unmending the Veil, is a life-changer too! Lisa Heaton is my NFA! (New Favorite Author) Yay, Lisa!...you did it again!
